delivery policy


Overseas deliveries - shipping charged at the time of ordering is estimated only.  This may change according to the full size and weight of your order.  We will advise if there is any change to your freight charge and if you are unhappy with the freight component you are welcome to cancel at anytime prior to the order being dispatched.

Please be aware that some items are too large/heavy or fragile for overseas delivery.  In these cases we will advise you and cancel and refund your order.  This applies to very few items on the website and you are welcome to check with us prior to purchasing if you prefer.

International economy air and air mail are not tracked so we cannot provide any updates on delivery once sent.  If you do not receive your parcel a claim will need to be made through NZ Post and you will receive contact in order to process this.  International Courier is your best option (but more expensive) if you would like the tracking option for your order.  We label orders as merchandise (not as gift) as per the law.  There maybe a threshold depending on the receiving country in which duty/taxes are charged to you in order to collect your order.  We recommend checking your countries customs prior to ordering.

Overseas orders may take a week or more to be processed, please advise if your order is urgent.


NZ orders are usually sent within 24 hours of being received (unless non stocked or custom made).

NZ deliveries are made with Fastway Couriers. Pricing for delivery is:
$5 for orders under $100 or free for orders over $100 (for North Island and South Island deliveries only).

Orders to Chatham Island, Waiheke Island and Stewart Island will incur extra charges, please contact us for a delivery quote.  Our courier service does not deliver to these Islands so items will be sent through NZ Post where possible.

If you would like your parcel left without a signature, please advise when ordering of a safe place to leave.  Once delivered the parcel is under your care and insurance, we cannot offer any protection for parcels left unattended.  We recommend having parcels sent to an address where someone will be available to receive it such as a work address.

Delivery for non rural North Island deliveries is 1-2 days, non rural South Island delivery is 2-3 days and rural deliveries are approximately 2 extra days.  You will receive tracking information for your order but you are welcome to contact us for assistance if your parcel has not been delivered in the time frame advised above. 

If you have received a "your order has been sent" email from Snug as a Bug and your item has not arrived with five (5) days please advise us immediately.  The sooner we are advised of an issue with delivery the better the chance we have of sorting this out satisfactorily for you. The couriers require us to advise them within two weeks of any issues and therefore our cut off for sorting out delivery issues is two weeks from the parcel being sent. 

Orders containing custom made items will be held until the custom made item has been received and your order will be sent in full.
