delivery policy

New Zealand Delivery
We now have two choices for delivery of your orders:  Fastway Couriers & CourierPost.  Snug as a Bug have been using CourierPost for the last year and have found them exceptional but due to price increases were unable to continue subsidising delivery at the same level but we didn't want to increase your freight charges either!  So your options now are:

Orders under $100 are just $6 anywhere in NZ with Fastway Couriers.  Please note: Signature required.  You can provide details on where you would like the parcel left if you are not home but we cannot guarantee the safety of your parcel once left unattended so we do not recommend this and any requests to leave will be at your risk. 

Alternatively freight for orders under $100 is $10 with CourierPost.  These are non signatured tickets.  We recommend a delivery address where they will not be left out all day ie a work address, PO Box number or where someone is home all day.  We cannot guarantee the safety of parcels left unattended.

Orders over $100 - free delivery with Fastway Couriers or $10 with CourierPost.  Orders over $250 can select free delivery with CourierPost.


CourierPost is the only freight option for Waiheke Island & PO Box deliveries.  Stewart Island & Chatham Island please email info@snugasabug.co.nz for freight costs.

Orders are processed and dispatched within 24 hours of payment being received (Monday - Friday). You will receive a confirmation email that your order has been dispatched.

When your order has been dispatched you will receive an email advising that your order has been dispatched.  You will also receive tracking information on your parcel. 
 
When will I receive my order?
North Island (non rural delivery): 1-2 days from dispatch (on stocked items or as otherwise stated for non stocked items)
South Island Delivery(non rural delivery): 2 days from dispatch
Rural Delivery: 3 days from dispatch.
Waiheke Island - please allow a week for delivery.
 
All orders under $200 will be sent without a signature required.  Please advise where you would like your parcel left if you are not home at the time of delivery, if no instructions are given the courier will leave at the front door.  If you are concerned about your parcel being left when you are not home please provide a work or PO Box address instead of a street address.

Orders over $200 will not be delivered unless a signature is obtained, UNLESS per your instruction.  In the delivery information please advise where you would like your parcel left if you are not home, otherwise a card will be left to arrange delivery.   If you receive a card, you can call the number provided or go online to www.courierpost.co.nz to arrange a suitable delivery time.

All Rural Delivery deliveries will be left without a signature.
 
You can also keep track of a parcel with the tracking number that is included in your email confirmation of dispatch.  If you parcel has not been delivered in the time frames outlined contact Courier Post or Snug as a Bug as soon as possible so your order can be delivered.

If part of your order is for a non stocked item or a custom made item we will hold any other items ordered until we can send your order in full.
 
Overseas Delivery: -
Simply add items to the shopping bag as normal and select your country and delivery options from the drop down box in the checkout page. 

The freight pricing is approximate, we will fill your order and confirm shipping costs.  Shipping costs are weight based and therefore we cannot guarantee the pricing on the website, if the shipping costs are approximately the same as paid then we will dispatch your order, if however there is a discrepancy in the pricing we will advise you as soon as possible and either refund you if too much freight has been paid or discuss with you your options if you have underpaid ie you pay the extra required to ship or we cancel and refund your order.  Occasionally no freight is charged at checkout and this is an error in the system which will be corrected and you will be advised of your shipping costs.  Please allow up to 3-5 days for dispatch of any international orders.

At all time you are welcome to cancel your order if you are unhappy with the freight costs.  The freight has been calculated to hopefully ensure you will not need to pay more and may often be less than quoted.  Large items and fragile items cannot be sent outside NZ.  NZ Post do not offer a fragile service so we cannot guarantee safe delivery.

Overseas Delivery/Shipping Options:
International Air - A reliable postal service, great if you want a reliable delivery at an economical price but no tracking information available.
International Express Courier - the most expensive option but your parcel will arrive very quickly and a tracking number will be provided for peace of mind.
