Hi, I am Lynette from Snug as a Bug.

It can be a real joy putting your kids rooms together and creating a special room just for them and we love being part of this process with our customers.  Seeing your child's excitement and having them show off their room to visitors is such a treat but having them willing to go to bed is even better - although we can't make any guarantees on that or them keeping it tidy!

So who is Snug as a Bug? The Snug as a Bug team is:  Lynette.  Yep, just me.  A WAHM (Work at Home Mum) lucky enough to be doing every day what I love most - sourcing beautiful kids decor, helping customers find the right products for their kids rooms, packing orders and whatever else requires doing.  Just because we are small don't think we are slow!  I take great pride in sending out your orders quickly and usually orders are processed and dispatched on the day you order (if before midday) or the very next day, on weekdays.  CourierPost deliver to most places overnight, so you can order one day and often receive your order the very next morning.  

Snug as a Bug was first created in 2002 and I have been running Snug as a Bug since 2008 when my boys were at school but my youngest child, who has Down syndrome, still required a lot of time off school and I found working outside home too difficult.  Being a mum to my gorgeous boys must of course always come first, so I resigned from my job and started looking for job that  I could do from home - the daytime soaps never did hold much appeal!

Within a few months I found and fell in love with www.snugasabug.co.nz (more the gorgeous products if I was to be honest!) and after some minor freaking out it became my business!  Two website makeovers later we have the website you are visiting today and we hope you find it a delight to use.  My situation is different now and the need to work from home isn't as high (yahoo for healthy kids!) but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love being able to juggle my day to fit in the variety that Snug as a Bug provides but also be on hand should I be needed by my kids.

Now it is very important that I introduce you to Gus, adopted into the Snug as a Bug family just earlier this year.  We needed some help finding a name for him and many kids from around NZ took part in a colouring in/naming competition to help us.  Maxwell (4 years old) coloured in an amazing entry and suggested the name Gus, which we all felt suited our Bug down the to ground.  Maxwell won over $200 in prizes for his efforts.  You can view all the entries here.
